What is leadership? Why do we need it? What does it mean to be a good leader? Are leaders made or born? For decades, researchers have given their theories on the topic, while practitioners in the real world try to apply them, often with mixed results.  In contemporary society, it is results that matter, and the yardstick for measuring success is how effective the leader, and their followers, are at delivering results.  This course discusses leadership effectiveness, and a model for determining it.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Define the Competing Values Framework.
  • Differentiate between the four quadrants in the Competing Values Framework.
  • Recall how follower characteristics impact leadership effectiveness.
  • Recognize your own leadership effectiveness style and characteristics.

All materials are included in this course.
